Kun Taste Studio was born from a simple, universal feeling: the desire for a meal that tastes like home, no matter where you are in the world.
My name is Xuan Kun. As a culinary professional living in the Netherlands I noticed a yearning among my friends and neighbours Dutch, expat, and international families alike:
We all wanted to eat well, to feed our families food that was both healthy and deeply flavorful. But the reality of busy lives often left us reaching for convenient options that felt… disconnected. Store-bought sauces were either too generic or missed the authentic touch we craved.
I knew there had to be a better way. A way to bridge the rich culinary traditions of my heritage with the practical needs of a modern European kitchen.
The Meaning of 坤 (Kun)
“Kun” is part of my name, but it’s also a powerful idea from the I Ching, an ancient Chinese book of wisdom. Kun (坤) is the symbol of the Earth. It represents everything that is nurturing, receptive, resilient, and quietly strong. It is the soil that sustains life without needing applause.
This is the philosophy that guides me: We are here to nourish, to support, and to bring a sense of grounding to your daily table.
Drawing on professional experience and my lifelong passion for cooking, I began crafting sauces in my own kitchen.
