A crisp, and fragrant home-style classic. The notes of ginger and shallots elevate this healthy stir-fry into a gourmet experience.
- Difficulty Level: Easy
- Prep Time: 15 mins
- Cook Time: 10 mins
-
Servings: 2 People
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp of Kun Taste Studio Aromatic Soya
- 250g chicken breast or thigh, thinly sliced
- 3 stalks of celery, sliced diagonally
1 small carrot, sliced into matchsticks - 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 slice of ginger(optional)
- 1 tsp cornstarch (for marinating)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
Instructions
-
Marinate: Toss the chicken slices with 1 tbsp of Aromatic Soya and 1 tsp of cornstarch. Let it rest for 10 minutes (this "velveting" technique keeps the chicken silky).
-
Sear Chicken: Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Sear the chicken until just cooked through and lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
-
Stir-fry Veggies: In the same pan, add the ginger and garlic, then the celery and carrots. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the celery is bright green but still crisp.
-
Combine: Return the chicken to the pan. Pour in the remaining 2 tbsp of Aromatic Soya.
-
Finish: Toss everything together for 1 minute until the sauce creates a light, fragrant glaze. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
Pro Tips
-
Celery has a natural saltiness that pairs perfectly with the floral, woody notes of the sand ginger in our Aromatic Soya.
-
Slice the celery on a sharp diagonal (bias cut) to create more surface area for the sauce to cling to.
-
Do not overcook the celery; it should retain a "snap" to provide a textural contrast to the tender chicken.
