- Cook Time: 10 mins
- Servings: 2 People
- Difficulty Level: Easy
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp of Kun Taste Studio Aromatic Soya
- 200g beef (rump, sirloin, or flank), Slice thinly, about 0.5 cm thick by 5 cm Long
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, sliced (optional)
- A handful of spinach or green beans
- Rice or noodles, to serve
Cooking Instructions
-
Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, toss the beef strips with the Aromatic Soy Sauce. Let it marinate for at least 10-15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
-
Cook vegetables: Add onion or greens and cook briefly for 1–2 minutes to keep them fresh and crisp
-
Sear the Beef: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the marinated beef strips in a single layer. Be careful not to crowd the pan. Sear for 3-5 minutes per side, until the beef is nicely browned and caramelized.
-
Add the Vegetables: Add the sliced onion (if using) and spinach or green beans to the pan. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, until the onion is softened and the greens are wilted.
-
Serve: Remove the pan from the heat. Serve the pan-seared soy beef strips and vegetables immediately over a bed of warm rice or noodles. For an extra burst of flavor, drizzle a few extra drops of Aromatic Soya for extra shine and depth.
Pro Tips
-
High Heat is Key: For a perfect sear on the beef, make sure your pan is very hot before you add the meat. This will help to create a delicious crust and keep the beef tender.
-
Don't Overcook the Beef: Beef strips cook very quickly. Be careful not to overcook them, as they can become tough. A minute or two per side is usually all you need.
-
Slice Against the Grain: If you are slicing your own beef, be sure to slice it against the grain. This will result in more tender beef strips.
